Board achieves high ranking in BI Survey 8

The BI Survey 8 conducted by Nigel Pendse is the leading independent survey of real-world BI implementations. It's an in-depth analysis of essential and unique information from over a thousand organisations. The survey was conducted across 60 countries and 24 industry sectors, analysing data from over 2600 respondents.
This year 23 products, or groups of products, were included in the detailed product-level analysis including MicroStrategy, Infor PM OLAP, QlikTech QlikView, Board, Microsoft Analysis Services, Cognos Business Reporting, Business Objects & SAP BI/BW.
Board ranked highest in the following key areas
- Highest Business Benefit
- Fewest Administration Efforts
- Fewest Problems & Product Complaints
- Ease Of Use
- Highest Selection Rates
“BOARD’s consistent high ranking positions in many of the key areas we analysed in the survey is a very credible achievement and isn’t just limited to technical aspects, such as fewest total problems per site. The BI Survey 7 conducted by Nigel Pendse is the world's largest and most comprehensive independent survey of BI products. The survey was conducted across 60 countries and 22 industrial sectors, analysing data from 1,901 software implementations.
This year 16 products, or groups of products, were analysed individually in this Survey: MicroStrategy, Microsoft Analysis Services, Applix (now Cognos) TM1, Cognos Analysis, SAP BW, Cognos Reporting, Business Objects, Infor (MIS) Alea, Board, Panorama Novaview, Information Builders WebFOCUS, Cubeware Cockpit, Essbase, Microsoft RS, Crystal Reports & arcplan.
Board ranked highest in the following key areas
- Highest Business Benefit
- Most pervasive across Departments
- Highest win rate in evaluations
- Ease of use for Application Builders
- Least Reported Problems overall
- Fewest people needed for administration
